Welcome to DUI Youth Club!
DUI Youth Club is a new club focused on getting International and Danish teens together. We will learn about each other’s cultures, gain new skills, and make new friendships. And of course, we will be getting out and about in the wonderful city of Aarhus to make use of the facilities that are on offer!
We provide a relaxed environment for teenagers to hang out twice a week. Everything is in English at Youth Club, making it a great place for us to share and swap language skills. This also allows teens who haven’t mastered Danish yet to participate fully. We explore the Danish ways of life and international cultures by arranging weekly themes, tied in to games, planned activities, cooking and baking shared food, as well as group outings.
Who are We?
“We” are two internationals (Amelia and James) along with local Dane (Maja). We have lived all over and enjoy being a part of the international community in Aarhus. Maja plays volleyball and likes to keep active. Amelia does lots of creative things, like sewing and cooking, while James is a whizz with languages and boardgames. Amelia and Maja speak both Danish and English, though James is our English extraordinaire!
Youth Club is the brainchild of DUI and Aarhus Kommune (Sport og Fritid) who wanted to encourage international co-operation and integration among the next generation of leaders in our big, little city.
Stay in touch!
DUI Youth meets in Langenæs from 6pm-10pm on Mondays and Thursdays. Everyone is free to come along for as long, or as short, as they can manage. Every so often we will schedule events on other days of the week to fit around a fun activity. Be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page or our calendar to stay up-to-date on the latest happenings.
