About DUI-LEG og VIRKE

DUI – LEG og VIRKE is an independent children and youth organization based on the fundamental ideas of the labour movement. This means that the purpose of the activities of DUI – LEG og VIRKE is to give all children and youth the possibility to develop independently, respecting and cooperating with other people.

The backbone of DUI – LEG og VIRKE consist of the approximately 75 local divisions spread all over the country, where children and adults in unity plan and execute a lot of fun and exciting activities.

To mention music and singing, sports for fun, camping, banquets, exchange tours, wall-climbing, circus performances and clowning, kite flying etc. Within DUI only fantasy sets the limit.

DUI – LEG og VIRKE works consistently nation-wide to put the children on the political agenda. In our modern and efficient society children and youth often get caught in a tight corner because they constitute a ”weak” group without a vote. This is why DUI – LEG og VIRKE is needed as a spokesman.

Finally we need to mention the international work of DUI – LEG og VIRKE. Through exchanges between Danish and foreign children and youth a greater understanding and respect for other cultures is created. And through participation in factual solidarity projects the bonds of friendship between children from Denmark and the underdeveloped countries are tightened.

This is basicly what DUI – LEG og VIRKE is all about: Tying bonds of frienship across all the boundaries we usually meet in our society.
